Hammers star credits gel after injury comeback

A Dorset healthcare company has scored a high-profile endorsement after a footballer credited its recovery gel with helping him return to action ahead of schedule following a serious injury.

West Ham United midfielder and Czech international Tomáš Souček has praised HEMPE, a natural relief gel developed by Healthcare International Research, after recovering from ligament damage sustained during Czechia’s World Cup match against Mexico this summer.

The 31-year-old returned to playing after three months, having initially been told his recovery could take at least five.

Souček, who also credited medical staff at club and international level, said: “I started using HEMPE on day one after the injury at the World Cup and it worked really well.

“It’s a product I already used daily because of its benefits.

“After the injury I used it a minimum of twice a day; in the morning I used the hot gel and then after physio sessions I used the cold one.

“I was so pleased with how it worked; I didn’t feel any pain and now I feel 100 per cent and am back playing.

HEMPE was created by military veteran Farard Darver, from Lymington, Hampshire, who began exploring CBD products after suffering an injury while serving in Afghanistan.

His Wimborne-headquartered business has since developed hot and cold gel formulations, with HEMPE securing NSF Certified for Sport certification and listings on international drug reference databases.
