HR consultancy scores basketball partnership
An HR consultancy firm has netted a sporting partnership.
Shrewd HR has been named Newcastle Eagles’ official HR partner.
Bosses say the alliance will build on an existing relationship between the organisations, adding the move “feels like a natural next step” to support respective growth ambitions.
The agreement follows ad-hoc HR support and match sponsorship, and comes as Newcastle Eagles celebrates its 30th anniversary.
It also builds on Chester-le-Street-based Shrewd HR’s partnerships with Durham Cricket, Durham Women Football Club and True Padel.
Martin Potts, managing director of Shrewd HR, which operates across the entire HR support spectrum, said: “Sport is a huge part of what makes the North East special, and we’re proud to work with a growing number of sporting organisations across the region.
“We’ve enjoyed supporting the Eagles over the years, so becoming the club’s official HR partner feels like a natural next step.
“Every club runs on people: the players, the staff, the volunteers and the fans who make it what it is.
“That’s exactly what we care about at Shrewd HR, and we’re proud to be part of the Eagles family.”
Paul Blake, Newcastle Eagles’ managing director, added: “The club is very proud to be working closely with Martin and the team at Shrewd HR.
“The company is invested in supporting North East sport, and we look forward to a great season together.”
