Our Economy 2018 - With insights into global connections
Join us as we review the current state of North East economy and discuss the region’s role in an the global marketplace.
In March 2018, the North East Local Enterprise Partnership will publish its first annual ‘Our Economy’ report.
One year on from the launch of the refreshed North East Strategic Economic Plan, the ‘Our Economy’ report will present an overview of the North East economy and how it is changing over time.
Each year, ‘Our Economy’ will have two components – an overview of the North East economy and an in-depth review of a specific topic. The topic reviewed in the 2018 report will be ‘the North East in the global economy’.
We hope the annual ‘Our Economy’ will become a key resource to help inform decision making by policy makers and position the North East to take advantage of future developments, including those arising from the Government’s recently published Industrial Strategy.
The event will focus on the role of the North East in the global economy and will involve a panel of speakers from business, universities and government; discussing the importance of international relations and what the North East needs to do to build stronger international links going forward.
