Greg is an established technology and product innovator with more than 15 years experience exploiting the internet as a platform for business applications. In his role as VP of Engineering and Chief Technologist, is responsible for the design and implementation of Service Source’s next generation, cloud-based application platform. Most recently, Greg was VP of Development at SAP where he guided the design of a new cloud-based application platform. Prior to SAP, Greg was the co-founder and product visionary of Coghead, a pioneering platform-as-a-service provider that helped bring cloud computing to a broad audience of application developers. He served as CTO of Coghead until it was purchased by SAP in 2009. Previously, Greg was VP of Development at Peregrine systems where he lead application platform design efforts. Greg cofounded Extricity, Inc. (purchased by Peregrine Systems in 2001), an innovative business-to-business integration provider that pioneered the use of Java and XML technologies in enterprise software. Before Extricity, Greg was a project manager at the trailblazing web company EIT/CommerceNet whose alumni have spawned numerous Internet startups. Greg holds a PhD in Engineering and M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University, and M.S. and Bachelor’s degrees in engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
