Start-up specialist, digital strategist and Cambridge graduate, Hayley is now Country Manager for Elance where she has the strategic and operational responsibility for raising the platform’s profile nationally. She is also part of the Government's recently formed e-commerce Task Force headed by Lord Young. Hayley was a founding member of Smarta.com backed by Michael Birch and Theo Paphitis. She wrote the original business plan and spent five years building Smarta into the UK’s leading platform for small businesses. In other words she knows all about riding the start-up rollercoaster. Before Smarta, Hayley worked alongside tech entrepreneur Dan Wagner at internet incubator Bright Station Ventures evaluating investment ideas. She is regularly asked to speak about issues impacting start-ups and entrepreneurs.
