In just 16 years Jon Jorgenson has gone from telesales executive to Group Director sitting on the board of Access Technology Group and leading its sales and marketing strategy. During this time Jon has been instrumental in two management buyouts, and the rapid growth of Access, which recently recorded annual turnover of over £40 million. Jon is responsible for generating the revenue at Access, including managing new business, the account management team and existing customers. In addition Jon is responsible for ensuring the acquisitions Access make successfully deliver to plan, and is directly responsible for a team of 125 people. He has had articles published in the ACCA Corporate Review and Charity Finance magazine, and has built up specialities in the not-for-profit, professional services, and supply chain solutions sectors. Having started his career with Access in 1997, Jon joined reseller Asyst who specialised in systems for the not-for-profit sector. Over the next few years he drove them to become Access’ second largest reseller, before spearheading a management buyout and taking on the role of managing director. During this time the business accelerated in growth and product offerings. Under his tenure Asyst was acquired by Access and Jon continued his role as MD of the London office. In 2010 Jon joined the board of Access’ holding company the Access Technology Group and was again involved in a management buyout in early 2011 as the existing directors secured £50 million in expansion capital and bought out the founding directors. Under the new management structure Jon took on his current role of Group Director responsible for the business development of Access, building on strong organic growth as well as establishing new partnerships to make their position in the mid-market even stronger. Access’ success has continued as revenues continue to rise, and Jon has been responsible for the ongoing upward trend in sales and continued double-digit organic growth.
