Founded in 2011 LIME HR is a UK employment law and human resources specialist service. With Founder and Managing Director Laura Milne at the helm, the company specialise in employment law for both employees and employers across a wide range of issues. Laura has over 15 years experience, working for some of the UK’s top employment law firms in both Edinburgh and London. She then went on to set up her own company, which in 2011 rebranded to become LIME HR – the legal innovators for managers and employers. LIME HR approach employment law in a pragmatic and transparent manner, to ensure clients benefit from and understand their practical advice. Originally from the Highlands of Scotland Laura studied Law at Aberdeen University where she also undertook her training contract. Laura’s first role as a specialist employment solicitor was in Edinburgh at leading Scottish law firm Maclay Murray & Spens (MMS). In 2004 Laura moved to London, she worked as a solicitor in the City for a specialist employment law firm before setting up her own business in 2008. Laura is now at the forefront of employment law specialising in every aspect of it including discrimination, TUPE, settlement agreements, dismissals, redundancies, and performance improvement, etc. As well as her company representing clients from huge multinational organisations to small start up businesses, Laura also often speaks about changes to employment law to media including Sky News and LBC - explaining complex issues in layman’s terms for a varied audience. Laura is also an advocate of the campaign to increase the number of women on boards.
