We specialise exclusively in dealing with all aspects of employment and discrimination law, helping clients, whether employer or employee, to resolve disputes and solve problems between people at work. Each client is helped with detailed advice at every stage of the dispute or problem in question. This often includes helping to draft letters that are to be sent to the other party concerned. When acting for employers, we also ensure that all of the necessary documentation is prepared and put in place in the correct manner, such as statement of terms and conditions of employment, contracts of employment and staff handbooks. Individual policies are also drafted on occasion when necessary to help resolve a particular situation. We are extensively involved in handling cases in the employment tribunal. All of the work is done in-house, including the actual advocacy. Many cases have obviously been handled in the tribunal at Newcastle Upon Tyne, but we have also represented clients in nearly all of the other tribunals in Great Britain. We act on behalf of a wide range of commercial clients. They range in size from a large locally-based plc to a small corner shop run by a sole proprietor and engage in various different business activities. Likewise, we act on behalf of any person who has a problem at his or her place of work and/or with their working colleagues or superiors. Employee clients have included senior captains of industry falling out with their Boards, part-time employees working on the national minimum wage who need help with discrimination complaints, and everything else in between. Our clients are based throughout the United Kingdom.
