Perzo is a ‘free forever’ secure comms tool that lets users adapt their communications to fit the recipient. The platform was launched in November 2013 by David Gurle, ex head of Skype for Business and Microsoft’s Lync founder and aims to return communication confidentiality and privacy back to individuals by ensuring they retain ownership of their messages – regardless of how they are shared. Perzo provides a single place for users to have multiple conversations and collaborations, both personal and professional, using established channels such as email, IM, chat, and SMS, yet retain ownership of those interactions using a number of unique features. Unlike email or other short form messaging, when a message is shared via Perzo it stays within the website’s ultra-secure environment. Each message is secured by randomly generated 2048 bit keys using military grade encryption technology. Users also have the ability to delete messages and their attachments after they’ve been delivered. Timed self-destruct or ‘off the record’ messages are automatically deleted making them ideal for sharing passwords or bank details.
