Rachael Fidler is the Founder and Managing Director of HTP Training (HTP) which provides apprenticeships and vocational qualifications. Rachael established the organisation in 2000 and it is today one of the 12 best training providers in the country achieving the coveted ‘Outstanding, Grade 1’ status from Ofsted in 2008. HTP’s success rates have improved year on year and today stands at over 87% - over 10% above of the national average. On average over the last three academic years 93.7% of all apprentices who have completed their apprenticeships with HTP remain in employment. This exceptional accomplishment is down to Rachael’s leadership and drive. She firmly believes that everyone, regardless of their background or qualification, should have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge to progress their lives. It is an ethos shared by her dedicated team who strive to be the best possible work-based training provider delivering programmes in all areas of hospitality, management, retail, customer service and business administration. Rachael trained at University College Birmingham before commencing her career in the hospitality sector on theIsle of Wight. Since the formation of HTP, Rachael’s determination, business flare, enthusiasm and drive for quality has enabled HTP to expand. Today the organisation has a number of state of the art training and professional development centres in Southampton and Southern England. Rachael, a busy mother of two, lives on theIsle of Wightwith her 17 year old daughter and 14 year old son. Her commitment to education has seen Rachael appointed as the Chair of the Cowes Pathfinder Trust where she provides expertise to help local educational establishments. The Trust is currently building a £30m state of the art secondary school for children living on theIsle of Wight.
