His early career was with Rothmans International latterly as International Marketing Director responsible for Southern Europe, Africa, Middle East and the Indian subcontinent. As a consultant he has worked with a wide range of multi-national businesses on ‘Best Practice’ principles and techniques, including Philip Morris, Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Henkel, BP, Constellation Europe, and the Olayan Group. He has in the past been a regular guest lecturer at both the CIM and the Civil Service College and non-Executive Chairman of a major DM & Sales Promotion company.
