Much of the Olympic Park in London is already built, and North East companies have already won over £100 million worth of business related to the build including a Tees Valley company supplying cranes, a Northumberland company supplying the bathroom pods for the Athletes Village, and a Gateshead company supplying paint for the Aquatics Centre. But don’t be thinking that there is no more business to be won. Staging the Olympics is the biggest peace-time operation possible, so there are numerous opportunities for many different types of companies to win business.
