We are an independent and not for profit ombudsman scheme approved by the Government and regulated by a Standards Board. Our role as an Ombudsman is to resolve disputes and to help to raise standards. We do this in a number of ways including providing consumer law and customer services training. Set up by The Office of Fair Trading in 1992, we work with the furniture, home improvement and retail industries to raise standards and inspire consumer confidence.
