Happy birthday and good luck to retired nurse June Dumas – 66 years old today, on 6/6/06. She was born weighing 6lbs 6oz on 6 June at 0600 BST. BBC Online reports that Mrs Dumas’s late mother, a psychic, had always warned her to “watch herself” when she turned 66. June says she had become less superstitious as she got older, but still salutes single magpies and avoids walking under ladders. Today she is avoiding getting in a car, and instead is celebrating her birthday with a visit to a casino with her partner, Paul, where she said she expects to lose a fortune.
