Inviting someone back for a coffee after a night out can be very persuasive - caffeine increases the likelihood that people will agree with other people’s opinions. Author of the research, Dr. Pearl Martin from the School of Psychology at the University of Queensland commented: “Given the numerous situations in which people are exposed to persuasive arguments, these results could have many applied implications.”
