Glove Love
If you’ve ever suffered the sorrow of losing one of a pair of mittens or gloves you may be envious of those sensible, wholesome Canadians across the pond – they’ve set up a National Mitten Registry to reunite woolly soul mates. The heart-warming – and hand-warming - initiative is organised by the newspaper the National Post, who are asking readers to send them any abandoned mittens they find. The lost items will then be photographed and featured in the paper. The newspaper has high hopes of warm reunions, believing that people won’t throw away their remaining single mitten because “to throw it out is like throwing out hope itself.”
