Pizza Hut rolls out new look in North East

An international restaurant chain is launching its new look with the first regional roll out taking place in the North East. Pizza Hut, which currently operates ten restaurants across the region, will be investing approximately £1.35 million across ten sites in the North East. Throughout the summer work is being carried out in the ten restaurants with substantial investment in each store designed to enhance the atmosphere and facilities.

Alasdair Murdoch, Chief Executive Officer of Pizza Hut, said: “We are investing heavily in all our restaurants across the country and the strength of the North East region made it the ideal candidate to start the roll out of the new look. “We are making significant changes to the look and feel of the restaurants to give a quality dining environment where all the family can feel comfortable. There will be improvements and changes to the exterior of the buildings with lighting, signage and entrances being the most noticeable. “The North East will be the first region to complete the refurbishment and relaunch to all its restaurants and we expect to then move on to other regions.”

Pizza Hut is the biggest pizza restaurant chain in Europe, with over 450 restaurants in the UK alone. Created in the US in 1958, the first store opened in the UK fifteen years later.
