Inward investors sought

Inward investors in the North East are encouraged to take part in a survey that will provide a snapshot of their views on the region. The survey is being carried to find out why growing numbers of inward investors choose to relocate in the North East.

Recent figures published by UK Trade & Investment - the Government’s inward investment arm - show there were 66 new inward investment projects in the region in the last year, creating in excess of 1,500 new jobs.

Ernst and Young’s recent European Investment Monitor revealed a 50 per cent increase in the number of new inward investment projects and expansions across the North East.

The survey, which is being carried out by Tyne and Wear Development Company marketing officer Sarah Gibson, will explore the reasons and influences behind these decisions; in particular the role played by destination marketing in regional growth.

The survey is available online at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=CNM7uhp1_2bfrbe8mo4LhA0g_3d_3d and takes around five minutes to complete.

All those completing the questionnaire by Friday 25 July will be entered into a prize draw. Data is protected under the Data Protection Act and all respondents will remain completely anonymous.

For more information contact Sarah Gibson at Tyne and Wear DevelopmentCompany on 0191 516 9099.
