Law firm launches exclusive networking group

The North’s top people managers are being invited to join an exclusive networking group.

Senior human resources figures from the region’s foremost companies and organisations will meet next month at the launch of the Executive Employment Network. The network is the brainchild of law firm Ward Hadaway and will see top level HR executives meet to discuss employment and HR issues.

Instead of a standard seminar programme, the forum will see those attending set the agenda for discussion with Ward Hadaway’s employment law experts offering briefings on issues affecting the daily lives of senior people managers.

Stephen Elliott, employment partner at Ward Hadaway, said: “The Employment Executive Network is great news for the North East. We believe no other forum facilitates such direct and high-level networking with like-minded employment specialists, allowing them to share experiences and best practice.

“We will provide those attending with the opportunity to shape the direction and focus of the network, ensuring that the issues discussed are always of direct benefit and relevance to them and their businesses.

“Hopefully this will be beneficial not only to those senior people attending the network, but to the region’s economy as a whole.”

The network’s first session takes place at Ward Hadaway’s offices on Newcastle’s Quayside on Tuesday 7 October when the topic will be ‘the strategic management of organisational change’.

Subjects covered are likely to include general principles of change management, employment aspects of buying and selling businesses and redundancies and reorganisation.

Membership of the Executive Employment Network is by invitation only with further details available by emailing michelle.mcbride@wardhadaway.com.
