idid get shortlisted for a national award
A Newcastle start-up is looking for support from the North East business community after being shortlisted for a national award.
idid, managed by local entrepreneur Kate Gordon, is in the running for an Enterprising Young Brits award, due to take place on Tuesday 24 March, and voting on the awards closes today.
idid aims to tackle the catch-22 situation that many graduates face once they complete their degree - they find it hard to get a job without experience but cannot get experience without a job.
idid works with partners in the US, Brazil and Europe to offer internships with a difference. The company promotes international learning experiences where participants gain professional training through internships abroad.
Please support Kate Gordon and idid by voting at www.makeyourmark.org.uk/get_involved/enterprising_young_brits/vote/global
The award is for the Global Category, which celebrates the international success of young British entrepreneurs and their companies. It is co-ordinated by Make Your Mark, a national campaign which aims to give people the skills, knowledge and confidence to be enterprising.
The award is also supported by the Institute of Directors, The Daily Mail, The Treasury and the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform.
