An introduction to Concept IT

Concept IT Services was founded in 2005 to provide IT support for small and medium sized businesses.

Kevin Embleton, the company’s Managing Director, realised that many businesses didn’t have the luxury of on-site IT support, yet they still encountered IT problems on a daily basis. Kevin chose Consett as the base for his business, an area that had to move from heavy industry to more technology based work, making it the ideal place to start his business.

Now, some four years on, the business has grown in line with its clients’ demands. With modern technology, it now isn’t always necessary to visit clients to deliver IT solutions. As long as they have access to the internet, the Concept team can manage solutions remotely, ensuring less down time for the client and a faster response.

The business has grown steadily, with the introduction of further engineers and customer support staff, drawing on a vast experience in the provision of IT solutions. Many of their existing clients see them as part of their own team, integrating seamlessly into their operation, promoting efficiency and reliability.

They provide quality IT solutions throughout the North East region. Their solutions are designed specifically around the needs of their clients businesses, with the aim of making organisations more efficient. They can provide a complete range of products and services including advice, hardware, support, maintenance and training.

Kevin said: “We pride ourselves at looking at the bigger picture for our clients. We listen to not just their current needs, but look at their future development plans; not just making sure they have the capacity to grow and meet their business demands but also help them achieve their goals. We look at ways in which we can save them money on not only IT but also telecoms.”

In response to change, Concept IT have introduced a new range of services including a Micro Remote Support package for new business start-ups and micro organisations. This is an area that probably needs more IT advice and guidance at the beginning of their business. We now offer a remote support contract whereby we manage their problems remotely.

In line with recent WEEE legislation, Concept IT now offer a service of receiving businesses old pc’s, laptops, printers and copiers for safe disposal, providing businesses with certification for their audit trail.
