Airline chief loses it with own staff
An airline boss has received a police warning after shouting at his own staff.
Jet2.com chief executive Philip Meeson was cheered by passenger when he shouted at his workers when he spotted them queuing at check-in desks at Manchester Airport.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: “We attended Terminal 1 at Manchester airport and warned the man about his future conduct and behaviour.”
The airline said Mr Meeson was “passionate” about good service.
According to the BBC online the airline chief has admitted he was “angry” but “apologises if any offence was caused on the day”.
A Jet2 spokesman added: “Philip Meeson is very involved in the business at all levels and never more so than when he feels customer service is not up to scratch.”
Mr Meeson was warned under the Public Order Act.
