Swiftly does it for new law firm
ONE of the North East’s employment lawyers is setting his sights on swift growth and expansion after establishing his own firm.
Paul McGowan has established Collingwood Legal as a relationship-based practice which specialises in employment law, and is aiming to quickly grow the company through a business plan based on high quality service provision and long-term client relationships.
The Collingwood team is already working with a number of well-known public and private sector organisations right across the north east, and also has clients based in various other parts of the UK.
Paul McGowan said: “The demand for expertise in issues relating to employment law and human resources is always present, no matter what the economic climate, and the regional market in this sector has continued to remain strong despite prevailing conditions.”
After beginning his career with a top five London law firm, Mr McGowan moved to the region in the mid 1990s and spent 15 years with Newcastle law firm Watson Burton, becoming a partner in 2004 and leading a large team of employment lawyers.
Collingwood Legal is currently based in Corbridge, but Paul has plans to move the team into new central Newcastle premises in the near future, and is already looking to recruit more staff to help manage a substantial and swiftly growing client base.
