Local Company Gains Social Enterprise Mark
Northumberland based Cloudberry Pursuits CIC has been awarded the Social Enterprise Mark.
Cloudberry Pursuits provides quality training, activities and other services with a focus on the outdoor environment. Already an offshoot from the main company - Cloudberry Medical - has established itself as a leader in environment specific first aid training for outdoor instructors, outdoor leisure users, expeditions and sport. The company was started by Paul Freeman and Iain Nixon both of whom have a lifetime interest in the outdoors and between them 40 years experience in Mountain Rescue.
“Our passion at Cloudberry Pursuits is being in business to bring benefits to society and the environment by promoting the use of the outdoors that’s why receiving the Social Enterprise Mark is a great honour for us. It is an independent certification of why we’re in business and a testament for our future direction” said Paul Freeman, Director.
The business directly supports through donations of time and money charities working in the outdoors that bring benefits to individuals, groups and communities.
