Handelsbanken celebrates its 10th anniversary in the North East with the appointment of two new staff.

Tom Ramshaw will be the new manager of the Grey Street branch, and Mike Brunksill will manager the new Saville Row branch, also in Newcastle.

Handelsbanken operates under a branch autonomy policy, which sees managers making decisions at branch level.

North East housebuilder, Yuill Homes has welcomed the appointment of a new development sales manager to its team.

Anne Fishburn joins the company with more than a decade of sales and customer service experience, having previously worked for the likes of Virgin Vie Cosmetics and Three Rivers Housing.

She said: “I am really looking forward to meeting local homebuyers as part of my new role and helping to make the moving in process as enjoyable and a smooth transition as possible.”

TTE Technical Training Group’s managing director, Steve Grant, has been appointed to the EEF North East Regional Board.

The organisation is representative of manufacturing in the UK, and the regional board is currently made up of around 28 business leaders.

Steve said: “I am proud to join EEF’s North East Board as I am keen to further help promote collaborative working among companies in the sector.

“Engineering is so important to the country’s economy and it’s important we continue to raise awareness of career in engineering to ensure industry has a strong pool of skilled workers in the future.”

Transport training specialist Durham Tees Valley Training, has recruited two new specialist Driver Certificate of Professional Competence trainers, and a business development administrator.

Graeme Todd and Michael Robinson are both responsible for delivering CPC to drivers and for training both passenger-carrying vehicle, and large goods vehicle drivers.

Sarah Hutchinson has been appointed as part-time administrator and business development manager.

IT solutions form ITPS has recruited one of the region’s top technical experts, as part of the plant to double turnover and create more jobs.

Andy Hunter will take up the new post of director of technical services, heading up a team of 35.

Managing director Garry Sheriff, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Andy to the senior team.

“His high level of technical expertise and accreditation, combined with an ability to understand the commercial and political landscape clients face, and then create problem-solving, cost effective solutions, is exactly what we need.”

True North has announced the appointment of Mark Moreau to the position of commercial director.

Mark has been with the company since 2009, and will take responsibility for driving strategic new business initiatives as well as the key account management programmes.

CEO Norman Burden, said: “This gives Mark the opportunity to have a greater influence on both the strategy of the company and some of our key initiates as we continue to grow the scope and reputation of business both in the UK and further afield during 2012 and beyond.”
