Pebble rocks industry with groundbreaking new product

Newcastle software firm Pebble has launched a ground-breaking new product and has expanded into new offices at The Media Exchange in preparation for further business growth and job creation as the innovative scheme rolls out across the UK.

Pebble was established as a family business in 2005 and has since become one of the industry’s leading firms holding 10% market share whilst its direct competitors hold 10% collectively. The team has moved from Charlotte Square to a brand new 2,239sq ft building at Priority Sites’ acclaimed The Media Exchange development in the Ouseburn Valley as their new product hits the market.

Fund Manager is a unique cloud-based system that allows primary and secondary schools to manage their parent payments in such a way that vastly reduces the amount of time and resources currently allocated to this process. An additional add-on dinner registration function also enables schools to check that all meals are paid for, again reducing unnecessary expenditure.

Janis Green, CEO for Pebble explains; “While we have long developed accountancy software for schools, to our knowledge we are the only firm in the UK to have developed a product such as Fund Manager which will revolutionise the way that schools manage their income from parents. Traditionally, these monies are recorded in documents such as spread sheets and ledgers whereas this new system is a full accounting process which has the capacity to save a large amount of money for the schools.

“At Pebble we operate differently from our competitors by having all our software developers in-house which means that they have time and resources to concentrate on developing industry-leading products such as this. It is an incredibly exciting time for us and the move to The Media Exchange means that as the company grows we can accommodate new staff. We are committed to creating local jobs and hope that as Pebble continues to flourish, our teams will expand.”

Pebble will join a host of organisations already located at the £4.4 million 22,408 sq ft The Media Exchange development which has transformed a previously unused site into a new business hub.

Adam Richardson, Development Manager for The Media Exchange, said: “Pebble will further enhance our tenant mix at Media Exchange and it is great news for the region that they are choosing to expand their business locally. Following their move to Media Three, all but two buildings are now occupied on the site.”
