Leadership team reaches milestone with 100th business leader

LEADERSHIP TEAM REACHES MILESTONE WITH 100THBUSINESS LEADER

The North West-based Leadership Team, which runs courses for the region’s most successful business leaders, has reached a milestone with its 100th member.

The Leadership Team, which was created by leading business coach Jerry Hopkins, counts chief executives, managing directors and directors from some of the region’s foremost companies among its alumni.

The courses, of which there are three a year, involve a commitment of just two hours a month for six months. They also provide access to networking sessions with other business leaders who have been on the course through the Leadership Team Alumni Club.

Among the companies to have taken part are Jaguar Land Rover, Kimberly-Clark, Coulter Hurst, DTM Legal and Fraser Wealth Management.

Each course is broken down into six interactive sessions looking at best practice in areas such as strategic vision, creating more time to lead effectively, delegation and building strong teams.

All courses are held at the Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus, near Warrington, and places are available on the next course which starts on Wednesday, May 16.

Jerry Hopkins said: “We have had business leaders from across the North West take part in the Leadership Team and our last course saw us pass the hundred milestone.

“The courses are deliberately kept to six two-hour sessions allowing people to be back at their desks by 11am at the latest. The sessions are interactive so that people can learn about and share best practice with their peers, helping them to grow and develop their own businesses. The feedback we receive tells us that people really do appreciate the importance of spending a few precious hours working on their business, rather than in it.

“The May course will see a further development as we will be providing people on the course with the chance to catch up online if they have to miss a session as well as a number of bonus best practice modules.”
