Businesses have been warned against using names which could mislead or confuse customers.
The firms which have been specifically referred to are those which imply they are charities or government agencies, but the new Office of Fair Trading has also looked at costs of services, product on offer and relationship with other businesses. It is hoped that the enquiry will cut down on unscrupulous traders, but how easy will this be to applly in practice?
So how important is it to be honest with your clients?
