Anesco appoints Jeremy Cross as Head of Legal

National energy efficiency solutions company Anesco has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Jeremy Cross as head of legal.

Reading-based Anesco works with local authorities, businesses and homeowners looking to reduce their carbon emissions. The company provides organisations with a comprehensive energy service, from audits through to recommendations, installations and capital funding plans.

In his new role as head of legal, Jeremy will be advising on all legal matters across the business.

Jeremy joins Anesco from Greenberg Traurig Maher LLP, where he focused on the areas of real estate, asset management and the green energy industry.

During his time with the firm, Jeremy advised on many green energy projects and developments, dealing with issues ranging from solar roof-leases and retrofit installations to large-scale renewable deals including working on various acquisitions, disposals, and funding. Jeremy also worked extensively with property investors, joint ventures, and funds looking to acquire, offset, or redevelop prime and secondary property in the UK.

While at Greenberg Traurig Maher LLP, Jeremy worked closely with Anesco as an external counsel, assisting with major project contracts and leases, along with the acquisition and disposal of solar assets.

Previous to this, Jeremy worked in property litigation for Clyde & Co LLP and real estate for Hogan Lovells International LLP. He studied Law at the University of Exeter before gaining a distinction from the Inns of Court School of Law.

Originally from Sevenoaks, Jeremy currently lives with his wife in Chislehurst, Kent.

He has a real passion for music and has been a member of various bands since he was a child. He is also a member of Mensa and fluent in Italian, after having lived in Lugano and Milan for a year before University.
