Solo not alone in getting the right sales message across

In the last few months Bob Soulsby of Solo Business Solutions http://www.solobusiness.co.uk/ has built up a significant list of new opportunities through working with Michael McMeekin of Arrow Sales.

Solo Business Solutions who sell Visual Merchandising, Business Products and Services for Retail Stores such as Nisa needed to look for new clients to build on their existing client base. Bob Soulsby had years of operational experience in retail but didn’t have any experience in selling.

In his words he “didn’t know how to fly the flag on behalf of his company” so that potential clients would notice them. With his years of experience in the industry he knew he could engage with potential clients and turn them into customers once he sat in front of them - the problem was getting in front of them!

With a recommendation from a friend he sat down with Michael McMeekin of Arrow Sales to see how he could identify, find and win new clients. “Although Bob had great experience and knew the needs of his clients he didn’t have the knowledge of how to approach them, get noticed and get meetings with them” said Michael McMeekin. “It is very common amongst business owners and can be put down to a lack of confidence and sometimes fear of picking up the phone”

Arrow Sales saw that it was the fear of missing opportunities by being worried about what to say, what not to say and how to get the right message over on the phone to gain attention to what Bob saw as a conversation with a complete stranger.

After a few sessions and introduction of a few techniques backed up by Arrow Sales ‘60 Second Sales Tip Service’ Bob is now confident that he gets the right message over to a prospect for the first time. He does his research on the prospect he prepares his calls so he knows what he is going to say and he knows how and when to move the opportunity along so that it ends up as a successful sale.
