The Next Generation! Congratulations Vauxhall Ellesmere Port
All the team at idg were delighted to hear the recent news that Opel/Vauxhall has decided to allocate the production of its next-generation Astra compact car model to its manufacturing plant in Ellesmere Port.
Investment in the implementation of several operating solutions will make the Ellesmere Port plant the most competitive in the Opel/Vauxhall manufacturing network.
Employing a highly skilled and capable workforce, the Ellesmere Port site truly embraces the spirit of continuous improvement and flexibility – which we all need in today’s world. The company expects to create around 700 direct jobs at the Plant. This is absolutely fantastic news for the existing team and the Merseyside area.
The Ellesmere Port Manufacturing site have been Investors in People for over 15 years. We are really happy to be continuing our work with the team there during these exciting times, helping them to improve, develop and grow.
