Foresters UK Family Day of Fun

In 2011, Foresters and Bauer Radio’s Cash for Kids created ’Family Day’ to celebrate the family unit and to encourage families to spend time together, whilst benefiting their community and helping others.

It is often difficult for families to spend quality time together, especially in today’s recession when family time is more important than ever before. This year, Foresters, the international financial services organisation, is continuing their support of Family Day in 18 different locations across the UK to help bring families together and make it easier for them to enjoy a fun day out.

There will be ideas for days out and discount vouchers available on the Cash for Kids websites, which are available to download and enjoy as part of ‘Family Day’. To find out what is available in your area, please go to www.cashforkids.uk.com.

Extensive radio coverage has been organised across the UK and the on-air campaign will help to raise money for disadvantaged and underprivileged children to have a day out.

As well as providing financial support, Foresters members are taking part in fun family volunteering activities across the country to help benefit local communities. Projects include: painting at a centre in Gosport that provides facilities for a day nursery, kids groups, housing association and adult education; re-stocking, pricing and selling at a charity shop in Bolton; and weeding, planting and painting in a sensory garden at a Specific Needs School in Newcastle.

Alexis Bovington, Membership Development Specialist at Foresters said “We are family focused and we invest time and money especially to help children in need. Our partnership with Cash for Kids is so special because we can help local, underprivileged children, as well as getting involved in local projects and communities. In today’s economic climate, Family Day allows people to enjoy spending time together and focus on what is important, as well as helping children in need.”
