Sundial Meeting Venues Win Prestigious Social Media Award

Sundial Group have scooped the prestigious HBAA Venue Social Media Award 2012 in recognition of its social media expertise across the three Sundial UK meeting venues; Highgate House in Northamptonshire, Woodside in Warwickshire and Barnett Hill in Surrey.

The award was judged by David Taylor of AP Marketing and Katherine Alano, Community Editor of Caterer and Hotelkeeper Magazine who said, “The judges were hugely impressed with the entry by Sundial Group. Their creativity, levels of engagement with their online audience coupled with the shear breadth of social networking accounts meant that they were clear winners in this category. Plus there was clear evidence that this activity had actually helped them to achieve their business objectives - vital in any campaign.”

Now in their fifth year, the HBAA annual awards celebrate member agencies, hotels and venues that set the benchmark of best practice within the industry. The social media award was introduced this year in recognition of the impact community and social sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Google+ have on marketing, business communications, customer service, brand recognition, networking and lead generation.

Sundial Venues multi-award winning Northamptonshire conference hotel, picturesque Warwickshire meeting venue and Surrey conference hotel are owned and operated by Sundial Group. Each dedicated venue offers a range of conference, meeting and business class accommodation. The trio of venues maintain their own social media presence, assisted by experts in the field of new media. Their respective Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube presences are at the pinnacle of communications, with exclusive content, offers and news for members.

Tim Chudley, Sundial Group managing director said, “We are delighted to have received the HBAA Venue Social Media Award 2012 in recognition of our three venues’ commitment to social media. We have many additional exciting developments planned for our social networking communications in the near future and look forward to expanding on our activity even further. It is now a crucial part of our business and an excellent tool for any hotel or meeting venue committed to engaging with customers.”
