McLaren's 'spying' gets past the taxman
Some of you will have seen McLaren’s “spygate” tussle with HRMC, where the F1 team successfully argued that a £49m fine for spying on rivals Ferrari should be tax deductible.
The case is an extraordinary one, and certainly infuriating for the taxpayer. Is this another symptom of a breakable tax system, or a lack of social responsibility?
