Aegis IT boosts workforce

Leading technology consultancy Aegis IT has once again expanded its work force with the addition of two new talented recruits at its headquarters on Newcastle’s Quayside.

Following a four month placement with the company,Christopher Cole, 33, of Blyth, Northumberland,has been given a permanent role as trainee technical consultant. His PHD in Neuropharmacology triggered an interest in IT after he began researching how drugs affect the brain. He then enrolled at Northumberland College to learn more about these new emerging technologies which led him to the exciting opportunities Aegis had to offer.

He said: “I received a very warm welcome from the people at Aegis and I am thrilled to join the company at such an exciting time. I look forward to further developing my networking experience by working with clients and the latest emerging technologies.”

With eight and a half years of experience in office management roles, Kim Mather, 39, of Cramlington, joins Aegis as office manager from a local engineering firm and is looking forward to working with the team and bringing her experience and knowledge to her new role.

The addition of these new recruits now brings the workforce to 15 and the company is looking to expand even further over the coming months.

David McPherson, managing and technical director at Aegis, said: “Kim and Chris are a welcome addition to the team and join us at an exciting time in the company’s history. Our client portfolio is expanding all the time and we’re about to launch an exciting new learning platform next month in Hong Kong.”
