Mills & Reeve team dash through Leeds
Leeds team run Abbey Dash for Age UK
Employees from the Leeds office of law firm Mills & Reeve are taking part in this year’s Leeds Abbey Dash in support of Age UK.
Solicitors Laura Toal and Chris Wragg, senior solicitor Matthew Liston, legal secretary Corinne Dwyer and associate Jonathan Watmough all from the Insurance Disputes team are running the 10km run from Leeds city centre to Kirkstall Abbey and back.
The team, which raised £425 for the charity last year, is hoping to raise even more this year and will work with Age UK to look at using the money collected in funding local good causes.
Christine Biggart, legal secretary at Mills & Reeve, said: “We are working with Age UK to ensure any money raised goes directly towards local projects rather than national initiatives. We have expressed an interest in volunteering for the charity’s befriending service, which provides weekly social visits to elderly people helping reduce their isolation.”
