The Links Group, leaders in company formation in the Middle East for 10 years, deepens its UK government connections with the appointment of Mr. Dave Wells to Regional Business Development Manager. The former Deputy Director of UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) at the British Embassy in Dubai will oversee The Links Group’s growth strategy across the region.
Having worked for the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office for three decades in America, Europe, Asia and Middle East, Wells brings to The Links Group access to an exceptional professional network and a thorough understanding of foreign investors’ requirements when establishing a business in the region.
As part of his role at UKTI, Wells helped UK companies to trade or expand to the UAE. During his time there Wells increased the number of UK companies doing business in the UAE by 96 percent to reach 2,300 companies in 2011.
At The Links Group Wells will also help facilitate foreign trade into the UAE and Qatar by expanding the company’s international business development programme.
“The UAE and Qatar remain among the most promising markets for foreign investors from every corner of the globe. The Links Group does a really great job of connecting foreign businesses to those market opportunities and I look forward to playing a part in expanding the reach of its operations,” said Wells.
“We are delighted to welcome Dave Wells to The Links Group and have every confidence that his contribution will not only support the significant growth of the company, but also strengthen the overall performance of the business,” said Mr. John Martin St. Valery, Founder & CEO, The Links Group.
