Yorkshire solicitors unveil fifth branch
Coles solicitors has opened a new branch in a fifth location, after it acquired a business in the Yorkshire Dales in October.
The Northallerton-based law firm unveiled its fifth office in Yarm-on-Tees, alongside the introduction of a family lawyer to the new location.
Alison Skene, family law specialist, will head up the new office after joining the firm nearly four years ago as a consultant.Coles currently has premises in York, Thirsk, Settle, and is headquartered in Northallerton.
Peter Gibson, Managing Director of Coles, who also acts as the principal solicitor, said: “We’ll be able to offer our full range of services through our newest office, from wills and probate, conveyancing, personal injury, debt recovery, and of course Alison’s specialism – she is a Resolution-trained family collaborative lawyer.
“It is a developing area of legal practice. With our dedicated facilities we are expecting to see this area develop rapidly, particularly with significant impending changes to family law practice and the end of Legal Aid provision in many family matters.”
Since Mr Gibson took on the firm six years ago, Coles Solicitors had grown through investment and development, with new practices established in York and Thirsk during this time.
The more recent acquisition of Derek M Jordan’s practice in Settle allowed Coles to expand west into the Pennines, and the firm now employs 25 staff across its different offices.
