Enhancing your leadership
Being a team leader is a huge part of project management. Without the necessary skills in asserting your authority, communication and motivation with optimism (to name a few), it is unlikely that you will advance very quickly in your career with successes dwindling. Whatever stage you are at in your career, just starting out or holding lots of experience under your belt, a good way to ensure your ideas keep coming and that you can approach things in different ways if something is not working as well as it could be, it may be an idea to invest in one of the ESI team leader training courses.
These are designed to give you the best opportunity to advance in your career by outweighing the failures in your project team with successes. By guiding you through what you already know and expanding upon it, it means that the knowledge base you spring from becomes much wider and in depth so you feel like you have an answer for everything. The differences between leadership and management is taught as is how to approach various scenarios with this in mind and whether you are using the courses as a refresher or whether you think it could be a good place to start before a new job, it is unlikely that you won’t get something out of it.
For courses focused more on qualifications rather than knowledge, PMP training courses may be a better option. PMI’s Project Management Professional credential is widely recognised by companies who are looking to employ overly competent and self-assured professionals. Taking the examination and having an extra qualification on your CV could be the difference between you and the other candidates for a new job or promotion if you are looking to advance in your career. As well as having the physical qualification, of course you will gain more knowledge of project management in the process and even if it is not much, it could help you out in the future. For more details on any of these courses, visit www.esi-intl.co.uk.
