SAS Daniels brings in highest ever fee income
A North West law firm has announced a record fee income for November this year, totalling £600,000. SAS Daniels LLP, which has bases in Stockport, Macclesfield, Chester and Congleton, said it had achieved its highest ever income for one month, and beaten previous records by nearly £100,000.
With 25 partners and 65 lawyers across the firm, this marks the third time in nine months that SAS Daniels has broken its highest ever incomer record.
The company, which was created in 2006 in a merger between SAS Lawyers and Daniels, said it was positive it would reach more than £6.5m turnover when it releases its full year results in April, which will amount to a 10% rise year-on-year.
Chief executive, Nigel Haddon commented: “We have a strong growth plan which we hope will eventually lead us into the Top 100. “It is a bold ambition and it’s certainly not going to happen overnight.
“There’s very little room for rapid and uncontrolled growth in the current market, and while there is definitely a place for acquisition and merger opportunities, steady and strong organic growth is an absolute must.
“This is the third time we have set a new record in billing this year and we are already 7.5 per cent up on turnover compared to the same period last year.”
Earlier this year, the company celebrated its completion of 24 major contracts in May, despite downward trends in the sector, while real estate and personal injury activity grew alongside commercial litigation, whose income rose by over 70% this year.
Mr Haddon concluded: “Given we saw growth of 14.5 per cent last year, this is a clear sign that our strategy is working.
“We are steadily growing our client base across all practice areas and are continuing to win significant market share from both city centre and regional competitors.”
