Time is of the essence in run up

Final delivery times and seasonal closing hours have been decided, and businesses are now entering the home straight in the run up to Christmas. The next few weeks will be a battle on all fronts, trying to make the seasonal rush count in terms of profit and customers. Many businesses will be looking for efficient ways in which they can give themselves an extra boost in the coming weeks, and using printed flyers as a promotional drive can be a great way to increase the interest in a business and get more customers through the doors.

Efficiency has become something of a buzzword in today’s society, with people accustomed to being able to access something almost instantly. Their speed and efficiency is the largest advantage that flyers have over other methods of advertising. They take little planning or coordination for marketing team, they can be designed within hours and they can be sent to an online flyer printing service that very day. Most services like this will have the full batch of printed materials delivered back to the workplace within five days of receiving the order, and many even offer an express service which is perfect for use at this time of year, when everyone is on a countdown to Christmas.

Printed leaflets or flyers can be used to promote just about anything to do with a business. They can offer simple details regarding the store’s products or services, and an added map or directions can ensure that customers can find their way. They can be used to spread the word about a special offer in extra fast time; if early sales predictions or stock counts find that one product isn’t selling particularly well, a batch of simple flyers can be ordered and be back in the workplace within a week to alert customers to that product’s presence and hopefully increase its sales potential. Christmas events or flash sales are also a great marketing ploy around this time of year; business or shops blast their best Christmas music and invite everyone in for a 10% discount day, or an extra hour’s shopping before or after the regular opening times. Not only do these events help to boost sales and customer numbers on the day, they can also increase the reputation of a business; as friends exchange shopping tips or anecdotes about the nightmares of their Christmas shopping list, they might trade complimentary tales about the shop and extra custom can be gained this way.

When time is of the essence and the 25th December is bearing down on everyone, it’s important to be efficient and on the ball when considering marketing plans for the month, especially with so much competition. Many businesses can stake a solid claim in the fact that if they don’t take advantage of the custom there is to be gained from using printed flyers or promotional materials, their competitor across the road surely will.
