DWF merge with Fishburns

Business law firm DWF have announced their intention to merge with Professional Indemnity practice, Fishburns LLP.

The move will build DWF’s profile in the capital and also in Bristol and Dublin where Fishburns have other offices.

From the beginning of next month, Fishburns business will be known as DWF Fishburns adding a further 210 people to DWF’s 1,780 strong workforce.

Andrew Leaitherland, Managing Partner & CEO of DWF, said: “This merger significantly enhances our position in the Professional Indemnity market. Fishburns’ experience enables us to continue our investment in niche practice areas and consequently raise the bar around client delivery.”

Antony Marsh, Senior Partner at Fishburns, will join the DWF board and take a leading role in continuing the development of the firm’s Professional Indemnity practice.

He said: “Merging with DWF provides Fishburns with a growth platform that will enable us to build on our already strong Professional Indemnity offering whilst at the same time providing a wider range of services to our clients.”

Paul Berry, National Head of Insurance at DWF, added: “Fishburns is highly respected within its field, combining our specialist expertise considerably expands our Professional Indemnity offering, enabling us to provide insurance clients with a complete portfolio of services on a national and international basis.

“Additionally, Fishburns’ expertise in foreign jurisdiction litigation will also enhance our London based International team which has made great strides over the last four years in cross border claims work.”
