Apprentice turns protege at Anglo French Law LLP
An apprentice with training provider B-Skill Ltd has secured full-time employment after impressing a Newcastle-based specialist French law firm with her business administration skills.
After searching for full-time work for over 2 years, Ashleigh Johnson, 20 from Fawdon, signed up for B-Skill’s apprenticeship scheme and was signposted to Anglo French Law LLP, which offers independent, bilingual French legal advice from its offices in central Newcastle and Paris.
In recognition of Ashleigh’s hard work and the skills she has brought to the team, Anglo French Law LLP has now offered Ashleigh full time employment on completion of B-Skill’s Customer Service Apprenticeship Framework and she has agreed to stay on.
Marcel Van Peteghem, partner at Anglo French Law, said: “Ashleigh is an absolute asset and we are very pleased she has agreed to stay after the apprenticeship finishes.
“B-Skill’s apprenticeship scheme is outstanding, Ashleigh’s training has been timely, relevant and the whole process has been very positive from everyone’s point of view.”
Ashleigh added: “I am very happy in my new role which involves reception, admin and secretarial duties and I very much look forward to building a career within the firm.”
Paul Wileman, managing director at B-Skill, said: “Matching apprenticeships with businesses and seeing the working relationships blossom to mutual benefit is incredibly rewarding. This particular placement has been a particularly good fit and is one we’re very proud of.
“We’re grateful to Anglo French Law for giving Ashleigh such an excellent induction and start to her career.”
