New telemarketing business launched in Warwick
A new telemarketing business has been launched in Warwick by three directors who have 60 years’ of experience between them in the industry.
Chief executive Karen Breheny, business development director Paul Hammond and managing director Vicky Box have set-up Box Hammond at the University of Warwick Science Park’s Warwick Innovation Centre in Gallows Hill.
The company specialises in proving a business-to-business telemarketing agency through high quality telemarketing and digital marketing services across a variety of sectors.
Karen set-up her first telemarketing agency in 1990, achieving year-on-year growth until she successfully sold the business in 2006.
Now, she is planning to repeat its success with Box Hammond alongside Paul and Vicky who were both involved in her previous company.
“We decided it was the right time in terms of the economy which I know isn’t fantastic but I think the signs are there that we’re moving in the right direction,” Karen said.
“Myself, Paul and I have great experience and contacts and that experience is vital not only in attracting clients but retaining them as well.
“Marketing budgets are limited and we work alongside each client to design campaigns which are pertinent to their business and sector to provide results which can be measured and provide value for money.
“Currently we have employed four people and we are recruiting at the moment for a telemarketing executive.”
Box Hammond started 2013 by opening its office at the Warwick Innovation Centre and the company is looking to forge relationships with the University of Warwick.
Karen added: “We looked at various offices and considered Leamington, Warwick, Stratford and Solihull but the demographic of Warwick in terms of employees we wanted to recruit suited us.
“We also liked the idea of being on the science park to build-up a relationship with the University of Warwick regarding taking on internships and offering placements to students.
“This is a great location in terms of where it is based since it is close to the M40 and it is very easy to reach plus the offices are fantastic.”
Karen Aston, centre manager at the Warwick Innovation Centre, said the knowledge and expertise which the three directors had acquired would give the start-up company a vital edge.
“There remains a great deal of uncertainty about the economy but it is a good time for anyone with experience of a particular industry or has the gem of an idea for a new business to get up and running,” she said.
“Box Hammond has a well thought-out business plan and contacts within various industries which will give them an ideal platform to achieve the results set out by their customers.
“We have good occupancy rates at the Warwick Innovation Centre which is due, in part, to the fantastic facilities and services we provide for new businesses.”
