Headcount rises at Aspire

North East managed services provider Aspire Technology Solutions is continuing its rapid expansion with the recruitment of a further three members of staff.

Gateshead-based Aspire – which just last week was named Small Business of the Year at the North East Business Awards – has appointed a Project Manager and two Service Desk Analysts in recent weeks, taking total headcount to 40.

Anna Bould, 44, from Hexham has joined the company as Project Manager having previously worked for Prudhoe-based Daisy Communications where she was Head of Installation Coordination, responsible for running a team of staff over multiple locations.

Of her employment with Aspire, Anna said: “I’m really excited about joining Aspire and I look forward to being part of the continued growth and development of the company.”

Meanwhile, Keiron Bell, 20 from South Shields and Anthony Dunn, 22, from Whitburn have been recruited by Aspire to help boost the company’s Service Desk resources. Both Keiron and Anthony have come from the Sopra Group in Sunderland where they held ICT support roles.

Of his appointment with Aspire, Keiron said: “I’m really looking forward to a new career at Aspire, I think that I can learn a lot from the company and this is a brilliant opportunity for me to work within a friendly and hard working team.”

Anthony added: “Moving to Aspire is a big step in my career but I’ve found a company that is hard working, friendly and capable of utilising my skills and experience to the full. I feel very lucky to be part of the Service Desk team and to be part of Aspire as a company. Aspire has a very exciting future ahead and I hope to be a part of that future for many years to come.”

Headquartered in Gateshead and with a second site in Central London, Aspire is an award-winning managed services company specialising in hosted services, data centre solutions, communications and traditional IT outsourcing. Established in 2006, Aspire has grown steadily year on year to become a £4.2m business with a 40-strong workforce.
