#NEGrads featured in Global Career Brainstorming Publication
Gradvert’s #NEGrads has been featured in the Global Career Brainstorming Trends publication 2012.
Attracting nearly 100 career professionals from the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, the “Global Career Brainstorming Day” is hosted annually by ‘Career Thought Leaders’. It is an opportunity for career coaches, college and university career professionals, recruiters and others who work in the careers space to meet and brainstorm trends and best practices in careers, hiring and employment.
Gradvert’s #NEGrads – which is a weekly networking session on Twitter - was selected for its innovative and novel approach to helping employers and graduates connect in the North East using social media. Between 5-6pm each Wednesday, employers can Tweet their vacancies to an audience of 3500+ North East graduates and graduates can use the ‘hashtag’ (#NEGrads) to search for live vacancies during the week. It has been hugely popular and has been attended by well-known local entities including Newcastle College and large corporates including Enterprise, the NHS and the BBC.
Lisa Bean, the Managing Director said: “This is great news for Gradvert, and for North East graduates looking for opportunities in the region. We would like to thank Ruth Winden, founder of Careers Enhanced and the facilitator of the Career Thought Leaders’ event in London, for highlighting #NEGrads as ‘best practice’ and Gradvert as ‘the one to watch’”.
#NEGrads returns 5-6pm on 17th April. Anyone with a North East vacancy is welcome to Tweet their roles at that time and Gradvert will retweet to its growing audience of North East graduates.
