Southport solicitor invests £1m in medical claim campaign
Southport-based law firm, Fletchers Solicitors, has invested £1m in a national marketing campaign to raise awareness for claims around personal injury and medical negligence.
The firm’s chief executive, Ed Fletcher, put his support behind the campaign after suffering a spinal cord injury in 1999 from a motorbike accident.
Mr Fletcher said: “I wanted to use my own experience because it has helped inform everything we do as a firm and challenges the traditional perception that for lawyers these cases are ‘just a job.’ For us, that’s certainly not the case.
“Our message for people with injuries and their families is that you won’t be going through this alone.
“Its common for people to feel that their life is over at times like these, we try to show them that actually they have a new life that is only just beginning.”
The campaign will run across cinema, radio, online, outdoor advertising and press, with a 30 second video about Mr Fletcher’s personal experiences.
The chief executive also chairs the North West Spinal Injuries Centre Patient Group and is a mentor for young people with recent spinal cord injuries.
Fletchers Solicitors handle a large proportion of personal injury claims and approximately one in 25 of medical negligence cases in the UK.
