NatWest assists Global Autocare?s Leeds expansion

Fleet solution operator Global Autocare Ltd has been supported by NatWest in expanding to major new premises in Leeds.

The capital for the move to the new site in Gelderd Road was provided through NatWest under the Bank of England’s Funding for Lending scheme, which ensures some of the best-ever terms on SME loans.

The business, which counts daily rental, contract hire, maintenance, fleet management, vehicle movements, storage and sales amongst its customer offering, operates within both the corporate and trade markets.

Clients include Zenith, Lex, Alphabet, Principle Group, Lloyds Banking Group, KPMG and Carlsberg, together with regional businesses around the Yorkshire area.

Global Autocare, which was founded by owner Geoff Bloore in 1997, currently has a fleet of over 1,100 daily rental vehicles in addition to its longer-term contract fleet.

While the business had enjoyed consistent year-on-year growth and established a strong reputation, it was ready for a new growth trajectory, according to David Sadler, finance and operations director.

He commented: “Global Autocare is a national organisation with a strong local presence. We are fast-growing but look to safeguard the family culture Geoff has worked hard to build.

“To date, it’s been about preparing for growth. The move to the Gelderd Road facility will see us shift our plans up a gear – it’s a very exciting time.”

David Sadler worked with David Reed and Dave Smithies from the NatWest Leeds Commercial Team to secure the right funding for the purchase of Global’s fourth premises.

Following the establishment of the new premises, Global Autocare is set to create significant new jobs in 2013.
