Mayor visits Middle East to create Liverpool jobs
Liverpool’s Mayor Joe Anderson is embarking on a visit to the Middle East in a bid to create more jobs for the North West city.
He will speak at the World Chambers of Commerce Congress in Doha as well as promoting the International Festival for Business 2014, which will be held in Liverpool.
Mayor Anderson said: “My message is quite simple: Liverpool is open for business. That is a message I am taking to Abu Dhabit and Doha. It is a message I will take anywhere where I believe we can increase investment in the city.
“The Conference in Doha creates a perfect platform for our city. We want people to know that Liverpool is a city that is looking for opportunities, has a hunger for growth and a determination to succeed”, said Mayor Anderson.
“This visit is all about creating business. And if that means travelling thousands of miles to create business for Liverpool, then that is what I will do.”
