MP Hails Direct Save Telecom?s Job Programme
Watford based telecom provider is congratulated for backing the Government’s ’Work Programme’ and helping the unemployed back to work
Watford MP, Richard Harrington, has hailed Direct Save Telecom’s job programme for giving the long-term unemployed an opportunity to get back to work.
Direct Save recently announced expansion plans to create over 120 new permanent jobs at its Watford base. As part of its recruitment drive Direct Save has made a pledge to help the unemployed back to work – guaranteeing an interview to all who apply.
Over the past month Direct Save has taken on five long-term unemployed workers, with more interviews scheduled for the end of the month.
The Direct Save Telecom unemployment policy was inspired by the government’s flagship unemployment programme ‘The Work Programme’ where tailored support is given to participants to overcome barriers that prevent them from finding and staying in work.
This programme can make a big difference in helping people gain the support, skills and opportunities they need to return to work and I wish the company and participants all the best for the future.“
“I am delighted that Direct Save Telecom is taking such proactive action on the Government’s ‘Work Programme’ in Watford, to help people get back into work,” says local MP, Richard Harrington.
“This programme can make a big difference in helping people gain the support, skills and opportunities they need to return to work and I wish the company and participants all the best for the future.”
Direct Save Telecom CEO, Stavros Tsolakis, explains that the Direct Save will remain committed to helping the unemployed back to work throughout its current recruitment drive and further expansion plans.
“So far the standard of applicant has been very high which proves that people sometimes just need to be given a chance no matter what their circumstances are. We plan to continue this commitment and have scheduled more interviews for the end of April. We hope to announce further expansion plans in the near future where we will continue to work with local job agencies to help the unemployed back to work.”
